ACBM Board meetings are held on the third Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30 P.M. using Zoom.
ACBM April 25 Elections and quarterly meeting
Our quarterly meeting will be held on Saturday, April 25 at Joseph’s Grill at 140 S Wabash in Saint Paul. Our social hour will begin at 11:15, lunch at 12 Noon, the meeting will conclude by 3PM.
This is a very important meeting as we will be electing two new officers and three board members. Please review the open positions below and give some serious consideration to step up to nominate yourself or someone you think would make a good choice. Our organization is only as good as we make it. You don’t have to be an expert leader, but be willing to learn and to do your very best to represent our organization.
If you would like to be a candidate for any of the open positions, you do not need to be present to run for a position. But it is best if you ask a member that will be present to represent you at the election. This person can read your two minute statement on why you feel you would make a good candidate for this office.

Michael Vining – 2nd term ending 2026 Not eligible to run
Ben Duran – 1st term ending 2026 eligible to run
Charlotte lang – 1st term ending 2026 – eligible to run

ACBM Monthly Social Events
We meet every first Thursday of each month at IHop, 2231 Killebrew Dr. in Bloomington from 9 to 11 AM for breakfast and socializing. Please RSVP mamaotter1@gmail.com
Join us for the ACBM monthly breakfast gathering at day by day café on the second Saturday of every month from 10 to Noon.
Day by day café is located at 477 7TH Street West in St. Paul.

The American Council of the Blind of Minnesota (ACBM) began in the early 1970’s, as the “Gopher State Blind Association.” The name was changed to the American Council of the Blind of Minnesota in the early 1980s, when formally affiliating with the American Council of the Blind (ACB). ACBM is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
